3. Who can use Tapqora
3.1 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and at least 18 years old to buy. If you use Tapqora for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and these Terms bind that organisation.
3.2 You must give accurate account details, keep your sign-in email secure, and tell us promptly at support@tapqora.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. What we sell
4.1 Cards: Starter, Everyday, Wood and Black metal cards are sold in our online shop. The Gold edition is offered by invitation only on terms confirmed in writing. Team cards and team plans are supplied under a written quote that, once accepted, forms part of these Terms.
4.2 Service: every card includes a free Tapqora profile and dashboard. Any paid plan is described on our website at the time you subscribe, together with its price and billing period.
4.3 Product images and card previews are illustrations. Printed colours, wood grain and metal finish can vary slightly from what you see on screen. Each card measures 85.6 × 54 mm.
4.4 Cards work with most iPhones from the iPhone XS onwards and with NFC-enabled Android phones. NFC reading can be affected by phone settings, cases and other cards. Every card also carries a QR code that works with any phone camera.
5. Ordering and how the contract is formed
5.1 Your order is an offer to buy. You can check and correct your details before you pay. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. Our checkout and payment are provided by Stripe.
5.2 We may decline an order, before or after confirmation, if the card text is unlawful, offensive or infringes someone else's rights, if we suspect fraud, or if a product is unavailable. If we do, we refund you in full within 14 days.
5.3 If we have made an obvious error in a price or description, we will contact you before dispatch and you can confirm the order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Personalisation
6.1 You are responsible for the name, job title, company and any other text or logo you ask us to print or engrave. Please check spelling carefully: we produce exactly what you submit and do not send proofs for shop orders.
6.2 You confirm that you have the right to use everything you ask us to print, including names, trade marks and logos, and you grant us a licence to reproduce it solely to make and deliver your cards.
6.3 We may refuse to print content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, or that infringes third-party rights.
7. Prices, taxes and payment
7.1 Prices are shown in the currency of the country version of our website you choose: pounds sterling (UK), euros (European Union), US dollars (United States) or Canadian dollars (Canada). Free standard delivery is included.
7.2 Taxes: United Kingdom — Orbix Technologies Ltd is not currently registered for UK VAT, so no UK VAT is charged. European Union — prices are final prices and include any VAT due; cards are dispatched from within the EU, so no customs charges apply. Canada — cards are made and dispatched in Canada, so no customs charges apply. United States — cards are dispatched from Canada; any US sales tax due is shown at checkout, and if a carrier charges you US import duty on a standard order, we reimburse it on receipt of proof.
7.3 Payment is taken in full when you place your order. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee if your card is in a different currency.
7.4 For team orders on invoice, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date. We may charge statutory interest on late payments by business customers under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
8. Making and delivering your cards
8.1 Cards are made to order and are usually dispatched within 3 working days (Black metal: 7 working days). Delivery estimates are shown at checkout; typical transit after dispatch is 3–6 working days in the UK, 3–8 in the EU and 5–10 in the United States and Canada. Express signed-for delivery is available for the UK and EU at the price shown at checkout.
8.2 Delivery is complete when the cards reach the address you gave us. Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery.
8.3 If your order has not arrived 10 working days after the latest estimated delivery date, tell us. If the carrier confirms it is lost, we will send a replacement or a full refund, at your choice.
8.4 If delivery fails because the address was wrong or the parcel was not collected, we may charge the reasonable cost of re-delivery.
8.5 If a delay is caused by an event outside our control (clause 19), we will tell you and keep the delay as short as possible. If the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a full refund for anything not delivered.
9. Your right to cancel (consumers)
9.1 Starter cards: you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day you, or someone you name (other than the carrier), receive the cards, without giving any reason. To withdraw, use our online cancellation form at tapqora.com/legal/withdrawal, email support@tapqora.com, or send the model withdrawal form on that page. It is enough to send your notice before the 14 days end.
9.2 Effects of withdrawal: we will refund all payments we received from you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method, at no cost to you. We may withhold the refund until we receive the cards back or you provide evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. Please send the cards back within 14 days of your notice; we email you a prepaid returns label and pay the return postage. You are only liable for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the cards. If you chose express delivery, we refund only the cost of standard delivery.
9.3 Personalised cards: the right to withdraw does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (UK: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(b); EU: Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c); equivalent provincial and state laws). This is shown before you pay. It does not affect your rights if a card is faulty (clause 10).
9.4 Paid plans: if you subscribe to a paid plan as a consumer, you may cancel within 14 days of subscribing. If you asked the plan to start during that period and used it, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service provided.
10. Faulty cards and your legal guarantee
10.1 We must supply cards that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your card arrives damaged, is misprinted by us, or its chip or QR code does not work, contact us at support@tapqora.com with your order email and a photo. We will replace it free of charge or refund you.
10.2 United Kingdom: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have 30 days from delivery to reject faulty goods for a full refund; after that you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that fails, a price reduction or refund. European Union: you have a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery (Directive (EU) 2019/771), with repair or replacement first and then a price reduction or refund. Canada and the United States: your provincial or state consumer laws apply. Nothing in these Terms limits these rights.
10.3 In addition, if a card chip stops working through normal use within 24 months of delivery, we will replace the card free of charge. This commercial promise is in addition to, and does not replace, your legal rights.
11. Business customers
11.1 This clause applies only to business customers. The consumer rights in clauses 9 and 10.2 do not apply to you.
11.2 We warrant that cards will be free from material defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery. Your sole remedy for breach of this warranty is replacement of the affected cards or, at our option, a refund of their price. All other warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11.3 You will indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from content you ask us to print or publish that infringes a third party's rights or breaks the law, and from your use of contacts collected through the Service in breach of data protection law.
11.4 Team plans: the team owner may add and remove members, reassign company cards and access team activity and contacts shared with team members. You are responsible for informing your team members about this processing.
12. The Tapqora service
12.1 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes while these Terms apply.
12.2 We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance and may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees.
12.3 Your card links to your profile for as long as your account is active. You can switch off a lost card at any time from your dashboard. If we ever decide to close the Service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and the opportunity to export your contacts.
13. Your content and acceptable use
13.1 You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit your content only to provide the Service to you and to the people you share it with.
13.2 You must not use Tapqora to: break any law; publish content that is false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent; impersonate any person or organisation; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; distribute malware, phishing links or spam; offer or promote regulated financial, medical or legal services without the required authorisation; collect personal data without a lawful basis; or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
13.3 We may remove content or suspend a profile that we reasonably believe breaks this clause, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us. To report content, email legal@tapqora.com.
14. Contacts you collect and data protection
14.1 When people share their details with you through your profile, you decide how those details are used and you are the controller of that personal data. We process it on your behalf under our Data processing terms (tapqora.com/legal/dpa), which form part of these Terms.
14.2 You must use contacts lawfully. In particular, do not add people to marketing lists without the consent the law requires (for example under UK PECR, EU ePrivacy rules, Canada's CASL or the US CAN-SPAM Act). If you send contacts to another system using our integrations or webhooks, you are responsible for that system and that transfer.
14.3 How we use personal data as a controller is explained in our Privacy policy.
15. Intellectual property
15.1 Tapqora™, our logos, card designs, website, software and content belong to Orbix Technologies Ltd or its licensors. Except as allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or create derivative works from them.
15.2 If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
16. Paid plans and subscriptions
16.1 Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing support@tapqora.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then.
16.2 We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
17. Suspension and termination
17.1 You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. We delete your account data as described in our Privacy policy.
17.2 We may suspend or terminate your access with immediate effect if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or the Service. Otherwise we will give you at least 30 days' notice. If we terminate without cause, we refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
18. Our liability
18.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
18.2 Consumers: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profit, lost business or business interruption, because the Service and cards are supplied to consumers for private use.
18.3 Business customers: subject to clause 18.1, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the total amount you paid us in that period.
19. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of carriers, suppliers, payment networks, internet or hosting providers, strikes, extreme weather, epidemics, war or government action. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
20. Complaints and disputes
20.1 If you are unhappy, email support@tapqora.com with your order details. We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days.
20.2 The EU online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025. We are not obliged and do not currently agree to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, except where the law of your country requires us to offer it.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, our products or how we operate. The version that applies to an order is the one published when you place it. For ongoing services, we will give you at least 30 days' notice of material changes; if you do not agree, you may close your account before they take effect.
22. General
22.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation; we will tell you and this will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.
22.2 If a court finds part of these Terms unlawful, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we may still enforce it later.
22.3 These Terms, together with any written quote for team or Gold edition orders, are the entire agreement between us and a business customer about their subject matter.
22.4 Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms, and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply.
22.5 These Terms are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. Customers in Quebec are presented with the French version first. If versions differ, the version in the language of the country site you ordered from applies to you as a consumer.
23. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country or province where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings there. Business customers agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
