Terms of sale and service
These terms apply when you buy a Tapqora card or plan, or use a Tapqora profile. "We", "us" and "Tapqora" mean Orbix Technologies Ltd (trading as Tapqora), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16973554), registered office 437–441 Coventry Road, Small Heath, Birmingham B10 0TH. Contact: support@tapqora.com.
1. What we sell
Tapqora sells physical NFC business cards (Starter, Everyday, Bamboo and Metal) and online services: a free profile, and paid plans (Pro, Teams, Teams Plus and Black). Each card contains an NFC chip and a QR code that open your Tapqora profile.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on our website. UK and EU prices for consumers include VAT. US and Canadian prices exclude any sales tax, which is added at checkout where we are required to collect it. Teams prices are shown excluding VAT. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.
3. Your order
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we email your order confirmation. For personalised cards you are responsible for checking the spelling and details you enter; we print exactly what you provide.
4. Delivery
Standard delivery is free. Personalised cards are usually dispatched within 3 working days and Starter cards within 1 working day. Delivery estimates are given at checkout and are not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery.
5. Cancellations and returns
Starter cards: if you are a consumer you may cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason and receive a full refund, including standard delivery, once the card is returned unused. Personalised cards are made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation right does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(1)(b)). This does not affect your statutory rights if a card is faulty — see our delivery and returns policy.
6. Faulty cards
If a card arrives damaged, misprinted by us, or its chip does not work, tell us within 30 days at support@tapqora.com and we will replace or refund it. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
7. Plans and subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Consumers in the UK and EU have 14 days from purchase to cancel a new subscription for a full refund, unless you asked the service to start straight away and used it, in which case we may deduct a proportionate amount. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
8. Your profile and content
You are responsible for the information on your profile and for having the right to share it. Do not use Tapqora for unlawful, misleading or harmful content, or to collect people's details without a lawful reason. We may suspend profiles that break these rules.
9. Compatibility
Cards work with most modern iPhones (XS and later) and NFC-enabled Android phones. Some phones, cases or settings can prevent NFC reading; every card carries a QR code as an alternative.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for business losses such as lost profits or opportunities. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
11. Trade marks
Tapqora™ and the Tapqora logo are trade marks of Orbix Technologies Ltd. iPhone is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android is a trademark of Google LLC.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK, or the EU country, where they live. Please contact support@tapqora.com first — most issues are resolved quickly.
